We can hardly confute this dismal reality that modern living has aggravated tormenting fears and hiked the graph of mental agony, cultivated the spirit of unhealthy competition nursing the negatives inside like jealousy,legpulling, squabbling, loathing , lack of self-assurance and inferiority complex. It has set in action the lunatic race of accretion for more and more money. But it has unfortunately taken away man’s peerless and unrivaled attribute of wisdom, patience, perseverance and his sense of proportion.
It has brought a breach between relations and clutched the psyche of the modern man crippled by the hyper sense for acquiring the position of cream of the crop and the luxuries of sumptuous modern living at the cost of breaking the unity of the family by eroding the human relationships and mutilating their sanctity, a thing which was once held in the most venerated state by the people like that of the ecclesiasts of the society as Pope Pious xi who most persuasively made the importance of the cohesion of family vocal by saying, “Family is more sacred than state”. This significant statement assures the reality that family ought to be given an utmost priority even to one’s state for states are build on individuals not on an individual. The unity at home can become a strong platform for establishing unity at the state level .It is more a like a process of evolution commencing from micro level and ending on macro level. The success of one transforms itself on the victory of other.
Even the eastern culture that owes a great deal to simple religious values is jeopardized by the modern stylized living. Today the family unit which was once considered to be the real essence of following the Islamic ways of living is most catastrophically broken under the running fallacy of “since it’s in vogue”. Now even in such countries after getting independent to keep ones parents with one is taken to be as a sign of burden and backwardness. Consequently youth reared up under such stress of modern life style consider ‘Old Peoples Home’ to be the most befitting place to throw their bereaved parents in as their eternal resting abodes. These ‘Old Peoples Home’ are the bitterest fruit of this so called modern and mechanized world.
In countries like India, Bangladesh and Pakistan the tyranny of the loss of connection endured by the family of those immigrant sons who leave for abroad in getting ahead in their lives can hardly be packed in words. But they in this struggle go too far away for securing their own better and bright future. It is a general trend found amongst these immigrants that they deliberately get themselves wed locked with foreign ladies with the intent to become the holders of ‘Green Card’; a passport for them to legally enjoy the new heaven. They in this respect do not even take their parents into confidence or consult their will and wish. They also turn heedless towards the grumblings of their sinless innocent native brides. They in their mad pursuit of following the blind stress of modern living themselves turn blind to their own blood and thus wreck the smooth fabric of the unity of family by icing the relations.
Another trend blanching the luster of blood relations is the tendency found amongst the influential parents intoxicatingly indulgent in attending and arranging the profuse parties for strengthening their official connections neglecting their children all alone immured in large houses who are left with no other option, but to be tempted by the scintillation of the media contaminating the tender minds and stooping their moral fiber to a level of objection. In few of these programmes they see liberty and individual independence something akin to an overwhelming and prized quality. Their unattended youth often misread the message and consequently they turn into obstinate, adamant and deteriorated youth disobeying their parents and in more distressing situations ditching them all alone that sabotages the sanctimonious bond of family in the most lamentable manner which is a gift of taking too much of this modern living.
The irrational negligence of the due reverence for religion, gullibility, materialism and hyper sense of competition has deeply seeped into the vein of society and stooped morality to such an extent that the marginal standard of humility itself gets stripped off to shame. The efficacy of modern living and luxuries have snatched from the youth the due deference for those who are elder to them and turned them into such stubborn youth where they are least hesitant to blackmail their own parents, on the other side of the spectrum parents too can not spare out their time for their unattended children .They have a strong passion to arrange elegant and elaborate parties but no time to collect and groom the split personalities of their children or those who are dependant on them.
It is this modernity that is causing unimaginable havoc and devastation in the society. It certainly is not the harbinger of prosperity for this change agent of values gifts prosperity at the cost of thrashing the sacred institution of the family. So such prosperity which in return digs out the roots of the unified family is not only futile but insignificant. The case is in the court of your justice and you are the arbitrator and the choice of decision is also before you. Whether you want to be swallowed by the racy competition of relishing in the fleeting luxuries of this transient life or would you favor to be enveloped by the cozy warmth of your harmonious and concordant family.

All of us at certain moments of our lives indulge in self-examination in order to dig out where we stand and how life is to us. It is but obvious that this very securitization may make us to suffer from the fits of melancholy by contemplating over the despondent moments of our lives where we are betrayed and shattered by the heedless and malevolent attitude of others particularly of those who happen to be our bosom friends or with whom we have some kinship.Undubiously such shattering attitude begotten through our buddies is beyond the bounds of our mortal endurance. It may become the mighty cause of turning the optimistic view of a being into an acute pessimism. It partly may become an ample cause of loosing ones’ faith in trusting others. The heaven may seem like blowing on your feeble and fragile shoulders and the earth may also appear as sleeping away under your feet. But under all these dire circumstances how one can cope up with such heart shuddering situations? How can one dispel the somber clouds of dejection and despodancy? How can one make a ‘Heaven out of Hell’?
The only ray of hope that comes with its silver shinning in such sheer somberness and murkiness, the only edge that is provided to extricate oneself out of the mind blowing and boggling life of intrigue, deceit and treachery is the mighty and potent force of mind. Indeed it is hundred and one percent true that mind is the only monster that can engorge the scorching realities and cruelties of life and people.
It is the only shrine that closes its casements for the pessimistic visitors and at its best can play a part of a sagacious mentor taming the impetuous ideas and vicious satanic desires into a pragmatic approach endeavoring to derive positives out of negatives. The only ray of hope, the only guiding angel is none other than ones’ own mind that is capable enough to make ‘Heaven out of Hell’.
Right from the dawn of human civilization this potent reservoir of thoughts wits and ideas has incessantly been utilized in order to create a thing out of nothing. We are all acquainted to this world famous adage ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’, but if we think for a moment the clandestine of the whole progress is concealed in this single statement and the word ‘Invention’ is the key word of this pithy and succinct reality and the only force working behind this invention is ofcourse the mind of man itself. Thus it remains a verified fact that the significance of human mind can not be denied on any account. It remains but an unbridled and peerless power of man endowed to him by his creator.It is only mind that even prior to the bating of your eye can take you up to the high columns of sky and leads you directly to the heaven where you can create invisible but ever strong ties with your Lord and thus establishes its position as a builder of your faith too.
Regretfully enough the sufficing stock of history tells us that the services of the miraculous mind infused with divine spirit has been employed in the most demolishing manner just to entertain the exclusive vested interests by majority of the people. There is a definite need of the positive taming of mind. This need has never been felt so strongly the way it is needed today where the world seems to have been driven mad and staged for displaying the death tableau by the producers of cannons and consumers of power. Where shedding the streams of ceaseless flooding blood of innocent people is recklessly justified under the pretext of purging the land from the so called violent activities of the miscreants.Where blasting of the holy abode of the omnipotent Lord who has built the world as a shelter for man and decked it with the eye enthralling picturesque beauty is no more taken as a mark of big shame , an action validating the reality portrayed in the holy scripture of Quran recognizing man as a sheer thankless creature. Where there is an unending passion for playing the game of unbridled power at the cost of overriding others due rights. Where there is a hollow ranting of securing democracy; the most thoughtlessly and extravagantly misused word or perhaps the most used up notion in our part of the world. A word which amidst the crowd of other words of dictionary has lost all its luster and true meaning by those who proclaim to be its proponents.
Thus the sole centre where all these pernicious schemes are hatched in the single container is the mind of man which emanates devastating effect if fueled in foul manner. Therefore, it falls in the category of our utmost responsibilities to take a good care of our mind like a new born baby who is so susceptible to the pollution of the milieu he steps in and treads on. The epitome of this whole idiom is to leave you with a single but a thought provoking thought and that is to make you understand the vital importance of human mind who is the maker of your entire personality as John Milton has most persuasively pronounced it can make a ‘Hell out of Heaven and a Heaven out of Hell’.
If one craves for leading an unperturbed life devoid of tensions and cares is just through the making of your mind. Therefore, one should learn to educate ones’ mind which can inculcate in you the heavenly attributes like generosity, tolerance, endurance, forgiveness, piety, purity, fidelity and compassion which indeed is the direst need of the hour.

Young Man Is Angry

Today ladies and gentlemen! The proposition placed before the august hall is “The young man is angry” and I would say that every word of this statement is pregnant with the most provocative reality of the day which though is hard to digest and dismal in nature, but is the most grating fact of the day.
Yes my friends. Patience, peace, perseverance, piety, purity, empathy and sympathy all these cherished qualities of human head and heart seems to be now the story of the past.
The young man of today’s corporate world is oblivious of all these bygone attributes of human character held in special reverence by our all blessed ancestors
Today’s man is gripped and entangled by hyper sense of materialism and is full of the most menacing and injurious negative passion of anger .This hiking anger which he wrongly interprets as his inflated ego is undoubtedly sabotaging his spiritual strength and tarnishing his image being the crown of all the creation before his own Lord.
Yes ladies and gentlemen! Today’s young men are more prone towards showing off their power and feel least hesitant to display their physical strength and play their horrendous bull fisting against the miserable docile creatures .
Today if our eyes get hold of the most blazing news that a brother has been killed by his own brother on the trivial amount of just ten rupees that will certainly not shock us to death since we all are well acquainted with the bubbling and troubling anger of today’s young man who is even beyond his own self control and marching ahead like an unbridled horse who is driven by his reckless impetuous sense of reason too senseless in nature.
Yes my comrades! If today I am becoming a vibrant proponent of this statement that today’s young man is angry there is a whole race of solid facts behind this determination on my part .If in the past Abel killed his own brother Cane owing to his hiking sense of jealousy and anger then today the situation is has grown even more worse then before where a single unknown person is killing thousands and thousands of innocent mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and even the most sinless new born babies in all but just in a single sweeping attempt of suicide bombing .Then how would you judge this massacre? How would you recognize this insane motive? How would you tag this crooked act? Is not it a more dangerous killing then before? Is not it a mindless enmity with the whole human race? Is not it a sheer show of anger? Is not the anger more magnified and intensified than before? Then why not you people believe that today’s young man is not only angry, but much angrier than before.
If in the past he believed in sharing even a half loaf of bread with his brother amidst the most crisis situation of the actual scarcity of food then today, Mam/Mr. President he can conveniently snatch away the food from the empty mouths of his very own blood. The intimating bond of love that held and stringed them together before is scattered by the fire of hatred and anger today.
The young angry man of today is unfortunately becoming a miserable victim of his own boiled up cauldron of ire and fury. If in the past the parents dared showering their scolding on their children for the exclusive purpose of correcting their wrong ways of life and thus contributing in their holistic development then today ladies and gentlemen I virtually feel ashamed to say that today it’s they who have to swallow and endure the unbearable ,unjustified anger of their off springs. Today not the young blood but the old rickety bones have to show the huge courage of patience, today not the young son but the old father has to subjugate before the irrational iron will of his son. Today it is not the parents who are the owners of their property and distribute it equally between their children but the selfish children surpassing in their limitless greed employing the tool of anger are becoming not the inheritors but the snatchers of their parent’s property throwing them into the dungeon of ‘Old People’s Homes’ making them feel this heart wrenching thought that they are all alone in this gigantic world.
Dear friends! Being educationists all of us are found grumbling about the non-serious misbehavior of our young students especially more so in the boys’ campuses where they least bother to respect their teachers. The news papers are fully filled with countless such news where a teacher became the victim of the cruel attitude of his pupils, hundreds of such news where a teacher has to bear the unbearable fury of his students, innumerable such head lines where a teacher was terribly clubbed and finally gun shot just for stopping them not to employ malpractices or cheating notes in the examination center .Then yes, yes with all my vigor I pronounce that today’s young man is angry.
Ladies and gentlemen. Today it is the most commonly and recurrently observed phenomenon on the roads that show a suffocating, mind blowing tableau of traffic jam, hustle and bustle, winding and zigzagging of rickshaws, chink chees and other auto mobiles and all this polluted scene gives an acute picture of perhaps following of a jungle law where no one follows the rule of queue but the signal of growing impatience inside.
Majority of the young people whom I have seen with my own naked eyes beaten others to death no matter if the fault lied on their part.
But what this all heck is about? Where are we leading ourselves to? What we want to prove to others? All these big w’s will answer us back most resonantly “Please search your own pocket” Its I, its you, its we who are slackening our hold and leaving a loose grip over the time tested cherished values of patience, peace and perseverance and making this world a burning hell detestable to reside in; no more a reasonable abode but a reflection of a sheer hell build up by our own selves with our own anger. Because we are the icons of today’s world, because we are the product of this ghastly growing global world, because we are proud to be powerful and arrogant because we are non -compromising, unflinching angry men.
